Every one of the Portuguese Water Dog puppies for sale below was born and raised inside our home on our small farm in Fresno, Ohio. We are not a broker, and we do not sell puppies for other breeders. Jamin and Marnita raise just a few litters a year, which means each puppy gets time with our family instead of time in a kennel run.
From the first days we use Early Neurological Stimulation, a handling protocol built for working dog programs that helps puppies handle stress and new places better later in life. Our kids handle the puppies daily from week three, so by the time yours goes home at eight weeks it already knows the sound of a vacuum, a doorbell, a busy kitchen, and the feel of being picked up by a child. At seven weeks we evaluate each puppy for confidence, recovery, and focus on people, so we can match the right puppy to the right family instead of letting a cute photo do the choosing.
Health comes first here. Both parents of every litter are DNA tested for GM1, JDCM, and prcd-PRA, and their hips are screened through OFA. We show you that paperwork before you ever place a deposit. Every puppy goes home vet checked, current on vaccines and deworming, AKC registered, and covered by our 1-Year Genetic Conditional Health Guarantee.
Porties are smart, funny, athletic, low shedding, and deeply attached to their people. If you want a dog that hikes, swims, and then curls up next to you afterward, this is the breed.
You can pick up your puppy here in Ohio, or we can deliver nationwide on our puppy bus for $400 to $650 depending on where you live. Either way, you get lifetime support and honest answers whenever you call.
